Good solid toaster, worth the extra price
This version is a significant improvement on the previous offering. The black plastic is really black, not just white plastic painted black, which went sticky and wore off. The toast 'preview' feature is great, the timer knob is now precise and doesnt whizz round when inadvertently brushed by a finger. Well built toaster, robust enough toast rests to support even heavy artisan bread. Long and wide slots a must for 'real' bread lovers Only niggle; Pity the crumb tray isnt up to dealing with big chunks that sometimes fall down.This version is a significant improvement on the previous offering. I've been using this for about 1 month after having a new kitchen and so far the timer has broken, the spring mechanism doesn't work anymore so we have to use the main switch to control it and it literally burns everything you put in there. It doesn't toast evenly; burns the edges of everything. The worst toaster I have EVER had. If you read other reviews the same comments seem to come up, I bought Dualit as my parents have had the same Dualit toaster for over 20 years clearly they're not made as good as they used to be. Don't waste your money, you'll be disappointed in everything except the looks of this toaster. Smart toaster
Looks good and does the job well. With the ability to raise the toast mid way through to check progress, a defrost setting and a quick stop button. Although it has 6 browning settings, we only have it on about 2.5, so maybe a little fierce, but very happy with it.

Excellent Dualit
Best toaster ever! The long slots mean you can toast all different types of bread. It keeps food warm on its top rack and we also use the rack for warming oven proof plates. It’s very easy to keep clean and looks smart and tidy. I would definitely buy it again.

Best toaster I’ve had
Sturdy , good looking , well functioning toaster. A 4 slice long toaster beats a chunky square 4 slice toaster for me. Much more adaptable for baguettes etc. I really like the “ take a peek “ facility. It enables checking on the progress without turning off and losing heat. I’m impressed.
